How has training changed my life, I used to be a competitive athlete, due to circumstances I let myself slide to wake up one morning and look at myself, then I realized I was now wearing size 40 pants, had no cardiopulmonary endurance, and overall felt pretty bad everyday. I chose to take control and came into the local gym to rectify the problem.
After a year of hard work and commitment I now comfortably wear size 32 pants, I can once more cycle and snowshoe without being out of breathe and completely exhausted after 15 minutes.
The incredible thing is that I turned 30 but look better and feel better then I did 10 years ago, I get comments from co-workers, usually in a very negative way, such as you best not lose any more weight, you are costing us a fortune in uniforms. You are nothing but a health nut, how can you do this all the time? Or if I’m with family I get the Wow you look fantastic, or I can’t believe this is my brother, all in all these are all amazing to hear, it really shows off how this pays off. But most importantly I have a resurgence of self-confidence, I feel amazing and truly I would not change this feeling ever.
After a year of hard work looking back it makes you realize just how bad you felt before, and this has changed my life for the best. If there’s one thing I regret is that I did not take this step earlier.
Alex.
